The High Court decision is self explanatory. Any order for compensation should not be mechanical but should be based on all facts and circumstances.  I will like to add that institution of marriage should not be treated as a sort of  job or occupation to women who are also increasingly getting employment opportunities like men.  It may be that  in certain circumstances even men may demand compensation on break up of marriage. 

I think a recent judgement has fixed 25% of husbands income as maintenance allowance to a divorced woman.

Yes, your opinion is absolutely right. If marriage is treated as an occupation, then an institution like marriage shouldn't exist. Asking for maintenance is a one sided affair but I think if it gets applicable on working women too then this business kind of approach will certainly come to an end.
