Actually to avoid traffic jams everybody has to be equally responsible and sensitive to the issue. One should follow traffic rules properly, avoid parking vehicles anywhere on the road, Keep right while driving and there are many more to add to the list....

I think traffic jam is also related with the condition and width of the roads and when the roads are not in good condition or with pot holes and narrower then this problem is more felt....

The best way is to commute during non busy hours. There is big rush around ten A.M.and six P.M. when offices open and close and also during school opening and closing hours. By commuting half an hour earlier in morning and half hour late in Evening, you may avoid traffic jam.

First way is to look for an alternative route with lesser traffic and the second way is to set out before office timing when the traffic is the highest.
