Butea monosperma or the Palasa tree is also known as the Flame of the Forest, probably an answer to your question.

Although, Gulmohar tree is also called as Flame of the Forest, but since it has not originated in India, I would not call it the Indian Fire tree.

Palasa comes quite close with its fiery red, parrot's beak-like flowers. When these trees flower at the onset of the summer, the trees shed all its leaves and the entire countryside looks as if it is set on fire.

The Palas trees grow abundantly in the mountains of Sahydri ranges and the entire Western Ghats.

Not so sure but it may be a tree with fire shape leaves. Hope to see correct answer soon.

Abid, here is the photo of the tree! I do not know what it is called in Hindi (I am not sure but I think it is called Cheola or Dhak), but the leaves of this tree are used to make platters and cups for eating traditional meals in many states, especially in rural areas. The flowers of this tree are used to make saffron colored dyes for clothes and to make Gulal during festivals seasons.
