What is there in a name. There is nothing offending in the movie Ram Leela except the name. The title 'Ram Leela' will bring to your mind Ram Leela played in every nook and corner during Dussehra. But the movie is some different Leela. Then why call this Ram Leela? Then would 'Raas Leela' be appropriate? This would also be linked to Raas Leela by Krishna. Could the film makers not select some name unconnected with any religious hero? 'Love game' or ''Aao pyaar karen' could be alternative titles.

Now they have lenghtened the name but still retained 'Ram Leela' within the title. How funny.

I have only seen a song via satellite channel where a girl who looks like one of the main lead who resembles to Priyanka Chopra singing a song. She mentions in that song about a guy Ram and a girl Leela, I also see Padukone girl standing there. This is perfect situation for Ram Leela.

Muslim countries are very strict regarding their God. They kill offenders publicly who insult God. They have respect and discipline more than any other culture in the world.
Ram may be the name of the hero and Leela is of course the name of the heroine. They could have used any other names which are not sacred. The story of the movie is nothing but the insult to the title of the film.

But we still don't care because someone can accuse us of being racist if we discussed more about it. Now this is what we call 'freedom of expression'

They would have considered that 'Ram Leela' would attract more than some other title- say- Jeetu honey.

Perhaps he should have gone for Sanjay- Leela in place of Ram Leela. He could have named the main lead 'sanjay'

They wanted to attract more crowds by misleading people. The title 'Sanjay leela' would not help them.

Yes this can only draw people's attention. I think the name of the movies should have been - "Chandra Kanta".
I think there is a certain attraction in such titles although the tgheme would be the same old one ...The actors are different and the treatment would be different, thats all ! However, for the first time Times of India film revire section has given it 5/5 rating...Going by the trailer it looks like a raunchy film but the film may have some substance in it. I am curious to see it because of all the controversy and more importantly because of the rating given by the Times.... And, lastly because Deepika is our town girl since her father is a Mangalorean Saraswat.. :)

Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!
